My religious views, explained somewhat.

I went to church today! I read along in the B-I-B-L-E and everything. Quite peculiar for me, I know, but I want to learn more about the whole thing. I've decided I've got to dive in and know for myself what has 2.1 billion people so captivated. (Purely from an unbiased, educational standpoint, o' course.)

I'm definitely no atheist. If a deity's existence can't be proven, it can't be disproven, either.

Of course, I don't believe there definitely is a god. Not at this point in time. I believe in science, evolution, and the Big Bang. Of course, the major argument with the Big Bang, is, "Where did the 'primeval atom' which supposedly exploded to form the universe, come from?" Well, if you've ever done any research on black holes, you'll know that the continuation of time & space as we know it are almost meaningless if you get stuck in one's event horizon. And that's just one cosmological peculiarity I'm aware of. I am definitely no physicist.... there's probably more that'd fall under the category of "screws up continuity of everything as we know it."

Theists and their opponents argue that the stuff that "Big Banged" had to come from somewhere, and also that a deity who consciously created the universe had to come from somewhere as well. But these arguments are a ridiculous waste of time that'll just go on forever if we don't all realize that, at some point before this circular logic loop-dee-loop starts, there is something... be it something physical that will fall under the realm of science, or something supernatural that Stephen Hawking & friends can't explain... something that transcends our perceptions of moments passing by, of there being past, present, and future, of measurable space between objects, of the notion of objects themselves.

But the only conceivable thing there is to me, is that THAT is how time & everything must have begun... with some weird, almost impossible-to-grasp, cosmological phenomena, where the notion of origin is unnecessary, where time, mass, and distance are non sequitur.

Man, I feel smart.
Bedtime.
